Christ’s College Dining Hall
The Dining Hall at Christ’s College is one of Cambridge’s most distinguished College settings, it dates from 1857–1879 and features exquisite stained-glass panels, offering a historic backdrop for lunch, dinner, banquet or special celebration. This historic space can accommodate up to 110 delegates, with an additional 20 seated in the gallery above, offering guests a unique opportunity to experience over 500 years of Cambridge heritage.

From formal dinners and banquets to receptions and celebrations, the Dining Hall offers a truly memorable dining experience. The space can accommodate up to 130 guests for standing receptions and buffet-style events.

While impressive by day, the Dining Hall is at its most enchanting in the evening, when candlelit tables and soft lighting bring warmth and atmosphere to this remarkable historic setting.
History of The Dining Hall
Built at the start of the 16th century and restored between 1875 and 1879 by George Gilbert Scott, the Great Hall has been at the heart of Christ’s College for more than 500 years.
Combining centuries of history with a striking sense of occasion, the Hall is lined with portraits of notable alumni, fellows and benefactors who have shaped the College’s remarkable story,
