The Conference Experience
Set in a light and airy space, it is perfectly suited for boardroom meetings of up to 12 delegates, offering a quiet and professional environment for small group discussions, interviews, or executive sessions.
It also works well as a refreshment and breakout space during larger events, providing an attractive setting for serving teas and coffees between lectures or meetings held in the Auditorium.
History
The room was named in 1987 in memory of Norman Sosnow, who matriculated in 1962 and graduated in 1965. Tragically, he lost his life in an aircraft accident in 1967 at the age of 23.
The room also recognises the generosity and contribution of his father, Eric Sosnow. Born in Poland, he came to London in 1934 as a research assistant at the London School of Economics. In 1968, Eric Sosnow and his wife established the Norman Sosnow Travel Scholarships at Christ’s College in memory of their son. Eric Sosnow later served as a Fellow-Commoner from 1982 until his death in 1987.
