To help you find the information you need quickly, we’ve compiled answers to some of our most frequently asked questions about our conference facilities, accommodation, dining options, bookings, and guest services.

There is no parking on-site at Christ’s College. Please see our Location page for full details on travelling to Cambridge.

Mostly, yes. Getting around college is easy with step free access around all outdoor spaces. There is a selection of meeting rooms that are on the ground floor or have lift access.

As the college is old the are of course some bedrooms and dining spaces that are only accessible by stairs, but please speak with the Conference Office for some more information.

No, Christ’s College is available for anyone to book.

In most cases, we are unable to accommodate this request, as our experienced kitchen team already provides an extensive range of food options to suit a variety of dietary requirements and preferences.

However, if this is something that is particularly important to you, we would be happy to review your request and consider it on a case-by-case basis for each booking.

This also applies to corkage. Additional fees may apply.

Yes, the college has an on-site chapel that is available for College members to use. They must contact the Chaplain to find out availability.

Christ’s College also holds a civil ceremony license and has a selection of rooms are available where anyone can book and hold their wedding ceremony with us.

There are multiple options in College for a formal wedding breakfast after your ceremony.

Our staff can assist with basic AV requirements; however, we are unable to provide dedicated technical support throughout the day.

If you require more comprehensive AV assistance, we work closely with a number of trusted technology providers and would be happy to put you in direct contact with them so you can discuss your specific requirements and arrange the appropriate level of support.

Gardens

Our beautiful gardens feature a variety of botanically significant trees, shrubs, and borders, alongside sculptures and artworks of alumni connected to the College. They are an ideal place to recharge and reconnect.

The Buttery / Bar

Our Buttery is a welcoming coffee shop and bar, located within the stunning First Court, home to the Great Gate, Porters’ Lodge, Chapel, Masters’ Lodge, and Formal Dining Hall.

Enjoy a wide range of refreshments:

  • Sandwiches, paninis, salads, crisps, and healthy snacks
  • Costa coffee products, soft drinks, and smoothies
  • Draft and bottled beers, spirits, and a brand-new cocktail menu
  • Milkshakes and smoothies also available.

Breakfast

If your function involves an overnight stay Guests can enjoy breakfast in the Upper Hall.

Breakfast options include:

  • Full English
  • Continental
  • Pastries and fresh fruit
  • Tea and coffee.

 

Yes many of our conference and meeting rooms have air conditioning. Rooms with air con will have that as an icon on their individual pages.

Unfortunately, our bedrooms do not have air conditioning.

Need to Know Information

  • Kindly note some of the accommodation is located on high floors and is accessible via stairs only. Therefore, it may not be suitable for guests with mobility impairment.
  • Please note that a Wi-Fi code is given to guests on arrival. Guests can register on a daily basis.
  • Please note that this property does not have parking.
  • Please note this property does not have air-con in bedrooms, but fans are available.
